promenySo I've been looking up the genres that my story, A Soul Turned, likely fits.
Transgressive fiction, psychological novel, postmodern literature, and domestic tragedy are the closest ones.
I really wonder if my book will be published. I know almost certainly that it will be finished, but I really do wonder if anyone would bother with it. Self-publishing is an option, but I'm really not willing to do that if I have even the slightest chance of being officially published.
In any case I'm at 7,000 words now. That much, in just four days. It is really taking off. I'm fairly impressed, actually.
I was sort of uninspired last evening, but when I started doing it, I could feel the creative ether flowing through my hands again. It is almost as if the book is writing itself.
I have stopped reading so much for the time being, but if I'm writing and actually doing something with my life, then that is a fair trade.
