promenyThere was a thunderstorm last night. It was really cool to see the very bright bolts strike horizontally across the clouds. I actually haven't seen something like that in a long time. It rained as well but not for very long; there hasn't been a drought or anything but August is known for being fairly dry around here.
Cigars no longer seem to make me feel uncomfortable. That is good; I spent the last time smoking just philosophizing with myself. I do that a lot.
I tried to find more books on Nihilism but I didn't really find that much; perhaps I wasn't looking hard enough. So I got a book by Sartre titled Existentialism and Human Emotions; I get the feeling that it isn't what I'm looking for, but will still be worth reading. Sartre is far and away from being my favorite philosopher but I still like some of what he says.
I've sort of noticed that any book of philosophy over 100 or so pages is kind filled with convoluted filler crap. There are likely many exceptions to this, but the shorter ones do tend to be more to-the-point and concise. Which is great because I get more information from less pages.
I haven't heard back from my professor friend since the last time I met him; he is likely busy though.
